UCP Programs and Services
Early Childhood
Development & Education
UCP offers a licensed development preschool program for
children ages 18 months to 6 years of age with any type of
developmental disability. The program is located at the
Harry Hines Center in Dallas and the hours are Monday
through Friday, 7 am to 6 pm.
Children’s Therapy Services
UCP provides therapy services for children ages 21 and
under. The services include occupational, physical and
speech and an adaptive equipment loan program. Therapy
Service is located at the Harry Hines Center in Dallas.
IMPACT (Individuals Making Personal
Achievements Come True) Adult Program
UCP provides daily opportunities for adults with
disabilities who are 18 and older to participate in computer
training, social, recreational, sports, and leisure interest
in their community. The IMPACT Program is located at the
Harry Hines Center in Dallas and the hours are Monday
through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.
CLASS (Community Living Assistance and
Support Services)
This program operates out of UCP’s regional offices in
Longview, Fort Worth and Lufkin and serves the counties in
Northeast Texas. CLASS provides case management services to
persons with a primary diagnosis of cerebral palsy or a
related condition.
Group Homes
UCP has four Group Homes located in Richardson, Dallas and
Garland. Two of the homes are Intermediate Care Facilities
and two are Home & Community Service homes. Each home
provides 24-hour assistance in a residential setting.
Texas Home Living Program (TxHmL)
This is a Medicaid waiver program providing community-based
services and support to eligible individuals who live in
their home or in their family’s home.
Removing Limits Through Technology
(RLTT)
UCP’s Assistive Technology Program uses technology to help
individuals with disabilities have life without limits. This
program includes a partnership with the Assistive Technology
Access Program administered through the University of Texas
Austin, which provided several computer systems and various
devices for demonstration. RLTT has some of the latest
technology available and offers individuals the opportunity
to learn about what is possible through technology.
Home and Community Support (HCS)
UCP manages this Medicaid waiver program with a variety of
services according to the client’s level of need. Services
include case management, nursing, supported home living,
foster care, occupational, physical and speech therapy, and
attendant care for those with disabilities in their own home
or in alternative living residences.
Consumer Directed Services (CDS)
The CDS program empowers individuals with disabilities and
their families to make personal decisions related to the
delivery of Personal Assistance Services and Respite
Services within their current home and community-based
program.
