Removing Limits Through Technology Program
Examples | Helpful Links | Ways to Help

Assistive Technology is any piece of equipment, program, or system, whether commercially available, modified, or custom built, that is used to maintain or increase the functional capabilities of a person with a disability. Technology can be as high tech as a voice activated computer, to as simple as a shoehorn.

Every day is Independence Day in the Removing Limits Through Technology (RLTT) Assistive Technology Lab at United Cerebral Palsy of North Texas. The goal of the program is to assist individuals with all types of disabilities to be able to use technology, such as computers, communication devices, low visions aids, and assistive listening devices, in order to be as independent as possible. The Assistive Technology Lab is an Official Demonstration Site for the Texas Technology Access Program administered by the University of Texas at Austin As an official demonstration site, anyone can receive a FREE demonstration of the latest in technology for individuals with all types of disabilities. To make an appointment, please contact Leah Gardner at 214-247-4539 or
